What to Expect

The lessons vary greatly depending on the student's age and level. There are, however, mainstays of learning the flute no matter what level: warm-ups with long tones and scales (sometimes even physical warm-ups like stretching) that aid in developing a beautiful sound and strong technique, progressive work with etudes, and finally working on pieces with piano accompaniment to nurture creativity. That is the main reason we learn an instrument, right?

Pricing

• First lesson (30 minutes) is free.
• Half-hour lesson: $40
• One-hour lesson: $50
• One and a half-hour lesson: $65

Lessons are taught once a week or more. You can pay either for a month in advance or weekly.

Policy

• Please bring your flute and music.
• Please do your best to show up on time or call if you are going to be late.
• Please give 24-hour notice of cancellation. Otherwise, you will be charged for the lesson time.
• Please bring a smile!
