Recital: Andréa Banke, oboe

Andréa’s playing has been featured on NPR s Performance Today and WXXI (NY) Live From Hochstein as a soloist. Ms Banke earned degrees from the Eastman School of Music under Richard Killmer, summa cum laude, and the University of Minnesota under Kathryn Greenbank. The Argus Leader Newspaper (Sioux Falls) has called her playing “a thread of gold,” and the International Double Reed Society Journal as “[showing] lots of flair, verve and technique.”
Carmen will be joining Andréa on Madeleine Dring’s delightful Trio for flute, oboe, and piano with Jamie Knight on piano.
